this silly little anime has helped me so much im avtually never been more inspired to keep going in band because of this.
i actually got this anime from my dad in 2020 but i never watched it since i though it was lame.. but then almost 4 years later i saw some clips and was utterly captivated. the characters wants much and was a relatively simple plot of getting the schools band to win nationals, as a sort of underdog story. but it really stuck with me. i rebember binging 5 episodes and just getting this overwhelming surge of inspiration and motivation to keep on going. this fucking anime has made me so much more passionate about band and really seeing the beauty in it.
i always watch a couple episodes when i feel particulary down or just cant seem to find a reason to keep on practicing.
idk, i think its something about all of the characters telling me as an audience that my passion is real and beautifull and that band is so much more than just playing an instrument.

this is the movie liz and the blue bird, what is pretty cool is that a big b plot in the anime was these two characters
Mizore Yoroizuka (oboe) and Nozomi Kasaki (flute). and this movie is basicly about these two backround characters and ecplores their relationship and it is just relly beautiful, and of course has really good music with a b plot for competing to nationals.
i think its pretty astoniching how much stuff there are for this anime, even if its not very well known like wtf!? 3 seasons, original soundrrack with orchestra, a spin off moive, 3 character songs for all main characters and even songs for the side characters like.. and there are only the same 5 people on tumblr talking about it...
so for example, midori, one of the main fours that plays the contrabass has a character song featuring hevy instrumentals for thaeir musical instrument (in this case contrabass) , a song that reflects the characters musical motivation (still including their musical instrument hevily in the backing track, and then to top it all off a classical solo piece for (in this case) contrabass with the backing instrumentals being the other instruments in their friendgroup (trumpet, euphonium, tuba). am i insaine or is this really much for a relatively unkown anime... like, mabye im not too familiar with anime culture, but like.. 3 whole original songs!? and then for the other main characters as well. THATS 12 ORIGINAL SONGS That doesnt even feature in the anime! (and i didnt even include hhe 6 OTHER SONGS DEDICATED TO THE BACKROUND CHARACTERS!!
